Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 1, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how the Anguilla Summer Festival ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects information in connection with the Festival Passport application (the "App") and its related services. By creating an account or using the App, you agree to the practices described here.

1. Information We Collect

We collect only the information needed to operate the App:

  • Account information. When an account is created for you, we collect your name, email address, and a securely stored password so you can sign in.
  • Information processed during use. To carry out festival operations such as check-in and verification, the App may display and record details you enter or scan, which can include a person's name and contact details.
  • Device and usage information. We may automatically collect basic technical data such as device type, operating-system version, app version, and log information (for example, sign-in times and errors) to keep the App secure and working correctly.

The App does not access your contacts, photos, or precise location unless you are explicitly asked and grant permission for a specific feature.

2. How We Use Information

  • To authenticate users and provide access to the App;
  • To operate festival check-in, verification, and related administrative tasks;
  • To maintain security, prevent misuse, and diagnose technical problems;
  • To communicate with you about your account or the service.

3. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only:

  • with trusted service providers who host or support the App on our behalf and are bound to protect the information;
  • when required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of users and the public.

4. Data Retention

We keep information only for as long as it is needed for the purposes described above or as required by law, after which it is deleted or anonymized.

5. Data Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect information. Passwords are stored using industry-standard one-way hashing and are never stored in plain text. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information against unauthorized access.

6. Your Rights and Choices

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your account information by contacting us at the address below. If your account was created by an administrator, you may also ask that administrator to update or remove it.

7. Children's Privacy

The App is intended for use by festival staff and authorized personnel and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

8. Third-Party Services

The App may rely on third-party platforms (such as app stores and hosting or messaging providers) whose own privacy practices govern the information they handle. We encourage you to review their policies.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the App after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
